Supervisor Whitton declared a State of Emergency on July 4th after the storm ripped through Town on the evening of July 3rd.
Over the weekend, he was in contact with Dutchess County Emergency Response, County Executive Sue Serino, East Clinton Fire District, West Clinton Fire District, Highway Superintendent Todd Martin and Central Hudson. Today he was joined by Highway Superintendent Todd Martin as they viewed remaining storm damage and the clean-up efforts of the Highway Crew.
Power was lost to 95% of residents; reports from Central Hudson is that all power has been restored. Internet access is still out for some (please see below).
Supervisor Whitton is communicating with Optimum’s parent company to expedite the return of internet service.
