Planning Board (PB)
The Planning Board is responsible for guiding development of land and growth within the Town of Clinton in accordance with Zoning Law and its amendments, and the subdivision regulations. The Planning Board reviews and approves development in the Town of Clinton.
Composed of 7 members – seven year staggered terms. Of the seven members, one chairperson for a one year term chosen by the Town Board.
The Planning Board meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7:30 PM in the Masonic Hall meeting room.

Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)
The Zoning Board of Appeals hears appeals, evaluates requests for interpretations of the Zoning Law, and approves or denies area and use variances. The ZBA is designed to offer relief from the strict interpretation of the Zoning Law.
Composed of 7 members – seven year staggered terms. Of the seven members, one chairperson for a one year term chosen by the Town Board.
The ZBA meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM in the Masonic Hall meeting room.

Recreation Committee (Rec Comm)
The Recreation Committee creates recreational opportunities for Townspeople by developing services and programs to offer to our citizens.
Composed of an open number of residents for one year terms. The Chairperson is appointed by the Town Board.
The Recreation Committee meets on the last Monday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Town Hall meeting room.

Board of Assessment Review (BAR)
The Board of Assessment Review (BAR) is a five member board that hears the annual assessment grievances in May of each year.

Conservation Advisory Council (CAC)
The members of the CAC advise the Town Board, planning boards, and zoning boards of appeals on matters related to the environment. By providing a scientific perspective on land-use planning and decision-making, CAC members contribute to the conservation and improvement of the local environment and quality of life for residents.
Composed of 3 to 9 residents. Staggered terms, even number of two-year terms, the others one-year terms. Of the members, one chairperson for a one-year term, appointed by the Town Board.
The CAC meets the second Wednesday of every month at 5:30 PM in the Masonic Hall meeting room.

Climate Smart Community (CSC) Task Force
This ad hoc committee of the CAC is created by Resolution 29 of 2018. The Climate Smart Community Task Force consists of a local government official, local government staff members, residents, and other stakeholders to assist in developing a strategy and work plan for establishing a baseline for the town’s current emissions, for recommending reduction targets, for identifying new strategies for reductions and energy efficiency, and for recommending ways in which these strategies can be incorporated into the town’s economic development and planning efforts.
Composed of an open number of members with staggered two year terms.
The Task Force meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 PM in the Masonic Hall meeting room.

Scenic & Historic Roads Advisory Committee (SHRAC)
The Scenic and Historic Roads Advisory Committee (SHRAC) provides advice and assistance on Scenic and Historic Roads to the Town Board, reviews development proposals along Scenic and Historic Roads, consults with the Superintendent of Highways periodically to review work plans, and periodically inspects designated Scenic and Historic Roads to ensure that scenic features are being maintained.
Composed of 5 to 7 members for staggered three-year terms. Two members’ terms will expire simultaneously, every year except for the one odd numbered member. Of the members, one chairperson for a one year term chosen by the Town Board.
SHRAC meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:30 PM in the Town Hall meeting room.

Cemetery Committee
The Town Board shall designate a committee of at least three volunteers, one of whom shall be the Cemetery Custodian, to assist the Cemetery Custodian in the performance of his or her duties and the administration of the Cemetery Rules and Regulations, all with one year terms.
