Hometown Heros Program:
How the Program Works:
Each banner will be 30” X 60” in size, made of a heavy vinyl, printed the same on both sides by displaying the individual’s picture, full name, branch of military, distinguished honors and years served. The cost is $250.00 each, which will be paid for by the family. Banners will be displayed on the Central Hudson poles starting along Salt Point Turnpike in the hamlet of Clinton Corners and Centre Road by the Town Hall complex.
The normal life expectancy of each banner is approximately three years or longer depending on weather conditions. At the end of its life cycle, the banner will be removed and turned over to the family.
The Town cannot guarantee banner placement location.
How to Qualify:
To qualify, a Hometown Heroes Banner Program Application form must be filled out completely and submitted with the individual’s discharge papers/DD214, a photo of the Veteran in uniform (if available), and payment in check for $250.00 made payable to Town of Clinton with “Hometown Heroes” in the memo. You can mail payment to the attention of the Town Supervisor’s Office at 1215 Centre Road, Rhinebeck, NY, 12572 or drop off during our normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday.
