INFORMATION ON FILING OF THE TENTATIVE ROLL AND GRIEVANCE DAY:
NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
Pursuant to §506 & §526 of the Real Property Tax Law:
NOTICE is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Clinton, County of Dutchess, has completed her tentative assessment roll for the current year, a copy of which is filed with the Town Clerk. The roll may be viewed online when they become available at:
Notice is hereby given that the Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll for the Town of Clinton on the following days and times:
- Wed. May 6, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM – By Phone Only
- Sat. May 9, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM – By Phone Only
- Wed. May 13, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM – By Phone Only
- Sat. May 16, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM – By Phone Only
(Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Assessor is available for appointment by phone only. Please call the office at 845-266-8179 ext. 114, to schedule an appointment.)
Pursuant to §508 & §525 of the Real Property Tax Law:
GRIEVANCE DAY – Fourth Wednesday after the Fourth Tuesday in May:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Assessment Review for the Town of Clinton, Dutchess County, will meet to hear and examine all properly filed complaints in relation to assessments of Real Property on May 27th 4 PM – 8 PM BY APPOINTMENT. Due to Covid-19, such meeting may occur remotely by conference call or similar service. Contact the Town Assessor’s Office prior to May 27th for details and to schedule an appointment. ALL COMPLAINT FORMS MUST BE FILED BY 8 PM ON MAY 27th 2020. (Property owners wishing to appear before the Board of Assessment Review must have their grievance application, RP-524, and supporting documentation received by the Town Assessor by May 26th by mailing to: Board of Assessment Review, C/O Town of Clinton Assessor; 1215 Centre Rd; Rhinebeck, NY 12572, OR by scanning & emailing to assessor@townofclinton.com . (Emailed applications are preferred and will receive a return email as proof of receipt.)
Grievance Day will be conducted this year via Zoom teleconferencing:
If you have a Telephone or a Laptop with Camera and Microphone, or a Smart Phone (Apple or Android) you can join the grievance day Zoom meeting and speak directly to the Town’s Board of Assessment Review (BAR). We have provided a link to instructions on how to join a Zoom meeting below.
It is highly desirable for you to call the Assessor’s office (845-266-8179) if you intend to grieve your property tax assessment, and provide the required grievance application, RP-524, and provide any supporting documentation in advance. However, by law, you must submit your forms no later than 8:00pm on May 27, 2020.
