Dog Licenses are issued by the Town Clerk. All dogs over the age of 4 months need to be licensed, according to NYS law. Spayed/Neutered $10, Unaltered $20. Purebred licenses are also available for those who qualify.

HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSES: Are seasonally available for purchase at the Town Clerk’s office. Please bring last year’s license OR your driver’s license or other photo id. If you have not had a previous hunting license, you must bring proof of completing a hunter’s safety class.
There is a new fee structure for 2014. The DEC no longer offers combination licenses, sportsmen will need to piece them together. The total price will be the same as the previous combinations:

SUPER SPORTSMAN = Hunting + Bowhunting + Muzzleloading + Fishing
SPORTSMAN = Hunting + Fishing
TRAPPER SUPER SPORTSMAN = Hunting + Muzzleloading + Trapping + Fishing

BURNING REGULATIONS: Revised burning regulations went into effect in October 2009. The town no longer issues burning permits and if you have one that hasn’t expired, it is no longer valid.
