DOG LICENSING:

Dog Licenses are issued by the Town Clerk. All dogs over the age of 4 months need to be licensed, according to NYS law. Spayed/Neutered $10, Unaltered $20. Proof of rabies vaccination and spay/neuter required. ALL dogs, including FOSTERED DOGS over the age of 4 months and harbored in Clinton for more than 30 days REQUIRE a dog license. Proof of rabies vaccination and spay/neuter required. See the Town Clerk to license your dog.Purebred licenses are also available for those who qualify.

HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSES: Are seasonally available for purchase at the Town Clerk’s office.  Please bring last year’s license OR your driver’s license or other photo id.  If you have not had a previous hunting license, you must bring proof of completing a hunter’s safety class.

There is a new fee structure which began in 2014. The DEC no longer offers combination licenses, sportsmen will need to piece them together.  

BREAKDOWN OF OLD COMBINATION LICENSES:
SUPER SPORTSMAN = Hunting + Bowhunting + Muzzleloading + Fishing
SPORTSMAN = Hunting + Fishing
TRAPPER SUPER SPORTSMAN = Hunting + Muzzleloading + Trapping + Fishing

MARRIAGE LICENSES: NYS fee is $40. Also, when applying for a license, you will need photo ID, birth certificate, and divorce papers if applicable. Originals or certified copies are acceptable.

NOTARY PUBLIC:  Monday – Thursday 9 AM to 3:30 PM, Carol Mackin is a Notary.  Other times by appointment.

BURNING REGULATIONS: Revised burning regulations went into effect in October 2009. The town no longer issues burning permits.  Please visit http://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/58519.html  for more information or call Division of Air Resources 518-402-8403. NYS Annual Spring Burn Ban is in effect: MARCH 16TH TO MAY 14TH
