Swimming Pool Safety

The Town of Clinton Building Department will shortly begin notifying homeowners who have a swimming pool without a proper Certificate of Compliance as required by current Town of Clinton Laws. Swimming pools are inherently dangerous and pools without the proper barrier and electrical wiring pose a serious threat to the health and welfare of the community. Those contacted will be a result of parcels with Building Permits not closed out or never issued. If the pool no longer exists, this process will make sure the pool is removed from the property assessment records.

Building Permits are required for all swimming pools: in ground, above ground, hot tubs, spas and the new on ground inflatable pools with a depth greater than two (2) feet.
