 Town Office & Highway Closed On These Dates - Recycling Center is Open unless the holiday falls on a Saturday. Town Hall is not open on Fridays starting Jan. 2011.

ASSESSMENTS: The Town Assessor is available on Wed and Sat from 9AM to Noon, 266 - 5721 X 113. The Assessment Roll is available in the Town Clerk's office during office hrs. or access through the County website at this link http://www.co.dutchess.ny.us/CountyGov/Departments/RealPropertyTax/19570.htm

STAR Exemption forms are available on the New York State Website. All completed exemption forms are due in the office by March 1st of each year. Click on link below for the NYS site to get the form.

Grievance Information :  Grievance Days are held in May of each year.  Forms and Booklets are available in the Assessor’s Office on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon or see below for link to print a form or booklet.  If you have any questions or need information, contact the Assessor’s Office at 266-5721 extension 113.   Click on link below to go to the NYS site to a blank grievance form. BURNING REGULATIONS: Revised burning regulations went into effect in October 2009. DOG LICENSING: Dog Licenses are issued by the Town Clerk. All dogs over the age of 4 months need to be licensed, according to NYS law. Spayed/Neutered $10, Unaltered $20. As of 1/1/2011 there are no purebred licenses.

HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSES: Are seasonally available for purchase at the Town Clerk’s office.  Please bring last year’s license OR your driver’s license or other photo id.  If you have not had a previous hunting license, you must bring proof of completing a hunter’s safety class.

MARRIAGE LICENSES: NYS fee is $40. Also, when applying for a license, you will need photo ID, birth certificate, and divorce papers if applicable. Originals or certified copies are acceptable.
 

NOTARY PUBLIC:  Monday - Thursday 1:30 - 4, more than two notarizations require an appointment. Call 266-5853 for appointment.
 

PAVILION RENTAL: The pavilion is located in the Frances J. Mark Memorial Park aka Rec Park on Clinton Hollow Rd. There is a link to the map in the next section.  An application form is available at the Town Clerk's Office during business hours. Click Here For Application Form

RECREATION CENTERS: (SEE ABOVE FOR PAVILION RENTAL)  To use swimming facilities, a town ID sticker is required.  The same ID sticker is used for Trash and there is no additional fee.  Stickers available at Town Hall during office hrs. for $10 (Seniors over 60 are not charged).

** Friends' Park #3 on map, Phone 845-266-8273 at 2350 Salt Point Turnpike- County Route 115. Baseball field, small pavilion area, tennis courts.

RECYCLING/TRASH & TOWN ID STICKERS: The Town Recycling Station is open Saturdays only, 8AM to 1PM. It is operated by Welsh Sanitation on the Town Hall property, behind the Town Hall itself. A Town ID sticker is required, $10.00 for the first car and $5.00 for a second car. Seniors, over the age of 60 years, first ID sticker is free, second one is $5.00   Sticker can be obtained at Town Hall (see Town Clerk's hours under "Directory").             CLICK HERE TO SEE TRASH FEES

Welsh Sanitation will now take all office paper, junk mail, magazines, and telephone books along with newspapers for recycling, however, cellophane windows on envelopes and metal clasps on large envelopes must be removed before recycling."


TAX BILLS:

TAXES: CHANGE OF ADDRESS ADVICE:  If you have a new address for your tax bills, it is important to notify 3 entities: tax collector (town and school) and the assessor of this change in writing to receive your bill in a timely fashion.  This can be most important to receive your bill in time and, also, to ensure your ability to take advantage of installment payments.
