Dog Licenses are issued by the
Town Clerk. All dogs over the age of 4 months need to be licensed, according
to NYS law. IMPORTANT CHANGES IN RABIES VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS: Effective January 15, 2006, no dog license may expire after the expiration date of the dog’s rabies vaccination. If your dog is due for a rabies vaccination booster during the next year, you must have it boostered just prior to obtaining the license renewal in order to have a full year license. If you choose not to have your dog vaccinated at the time of renewal, you will be issued a partial-year license but will still need to pay the full annual fee and you will need to renew your dog license again after it has been vaccinated. This is the law – per NYS Agriculture and Markets. For more information, contact the Town Clerk’s office. The fees
for licensing:

TAXES: CHANGE OF ADDRESS
ADVICE: If you have a new address for your tax bills, it is
important to notify 3 entities: tax collector (town and school) and the assessor of this
change in writing to receive your bill in a timely fashion. This can
be most important to receive your bill in time and, also, to ensure your
ability to take advantage of installment payments.
